Farakka Malda - Sterlite Power: Electric Power Transmission Company & Solutions Provider:


The Farakka-Malda Transmission Line is India's first 400Kv D/C Twin Invar Reconductoring project. Sterlite Power is the architect, designer, and engineer for this project. PGCIL was seeking a solution that could enable enhanced power transfer capacity of the existing tower structures. There was no scope for building an additional line due to extreme ROW, with a congested residential corridor and a situation of unrest. The project experienced challenging states of affairs with a conductor stringing across the Ganges basin, railway line crossing, and installation during social unrest in the West Bengal region.

EAST-NORTH INTERCONNECTION PROJECT (ENICL)

 ENICL, the first-of-its-kind Mega Independent Power Transmission Project to be awarded in India, was set up with an end to void power from the northeast and eastern countries to the northern region of India. It has been linked as one of the loftiest precedence lines by the Power System Operation Corporation Limited( POSOCO), as it provides critical connectivity for the transfer of power from the generating shops in the northeastern region.
